𝟏.𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫

- Shake the MDI inhaler well for 5–10 seconds.

𝟐.𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫

- Insert the mouthpiece of the inhaler into the back of the spacer.

𝟑.𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞

- For children: Place the soft mask gently over the nose and mouth, ensuring a snug seal.

- For adults: Place the mouthpiece between the lips and close lips tightly around it.

𝟒.𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫

- Press the inhaler once to release a dose into the spacer.

𝟓.𝐈𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲

- Breathe in slowly and deeply through the mouth.

- If using a mask, make sure the patient takes 5–6 slow breaths.

- If using the mouthpiece, hold the breath for 5–10 seconds after inhaling, if possible.

𝟔.𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝

- Wait about 30 seconds to 1 minute before taking another puff, if prescribed.

𝟕.𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧

- Remove the inhaler, disassemble the spacer, and clean it regularly as per the instructions.
